The Mission :

1. to promote basic and applied research as well as industrial application of lipids, fats and oils.
2. to strengthen continuing education and training of scientists and technologists in the lipid field.

The Vision (What we want to do):

1. to provide a forum for presentation of material of interest to members, a forum for exchange of ideas and a contact network for collaboration.
2. to provide information relevant to the scientific community and to industry. These include information about Nordic and international meetings, job opportunities in research institutes and companies, scientific meetings, job opportunities etc.
3. to increase international visibility of Nordic research and industry in the lipid field.

The Strategy (Our plan - What we do or need to do):

1. Organize Symposia and Seminars.
2. Provide a website with links to Nordic research institutes and companies and thus provide access to available information. The website also has links to scientific journals, international scientific organizations and other items of interest.
3. The website includes Lipidforum News Online which will serve as a forum for information, summaries of research articles, short reviews, debates on controversial issues, science news, etc.
